Educator Preparation Program

Western Colorado University

Bachelors of Arts - Bachelor of Science with Secondary -- K-12 Licensure

Secondary and K-12 major students focus on their content areas in years 1-3. After completing your content area coursework, you can apply for the year-long clinical residency that is completed in your senior year. The residency can be completed from anywhere in the world.  This innovative design allows residents to immediately and directly apply their educational coursework in a real classroom. Students graduate with a bachelors degree in their subject area and a license to teach from the Colorado Department of Education.
